In current heat treatment production, as quenching media, 50% are water-based solutions containing salts or alkali, 40% are oils, 5% are nitrate salt baths, 3% are polymer solutions, and 1% are sulfurized beds made of corundum powder. Thus, it is evident that quenching oils still account for a significant proportion of usage. Of the quenching oils actually used, 90% are mechanical lubricating oils of grades N22 and N32; the proportion of commercially available quenching oils accounts for less than 10% of the total.

      In the early stages of China’s market development, heat treatment equipment quickly gained widespread industrial application.
